ARTISTS STATEMENT

Born in 1968 in Santa Monica, California, Carol Es has worked her entire life as a self-educated painter . Her paintings show internationally and are featured in numerous private and corporate collections all over the world. From years of dedication, she has created an impressive body of work, strewn with strong personal messages. With less than an average education and no formal training, Carol exhibits a distinct honesty in her work that her collectors have come to count on and enjoy. She sees the process of making art as an organic and subconscious means to overcome past traumas and inner conflicts. A survivor of sexual and religious abuse, physical and mental disabilities, Carol has become an inspiration to many while creating raw visual images with both positive and dark perspectives. Her website, esart.com, features a complete database of her last 400 paintings with detailed notes and a studio web cam.
