ARTISTS STATEMENT

Sandra was born in Stirling in 1963, and comes from a family of talented designers and amateur artists. She is a prolific artist, using bold and stylish colours, and strong compositions. She often fills the back of the picture with written text which describes the scene or event depicted, revealing a very unorthodox imagination. Sandra also enjoys pottery and ceramics, and communicates using Makaton and BSL very unconventionally, often making up new signs.
