GRAS FESTIVAL: EDINBURGH OUT OF THE ASHES: CREATIVE RESPONSES TO 11TH SEPTEMBER 2001; 9-29th May at Patriothall, Hamilton Place, Edinburgh In the wake of the events of 11th September 2001, many people, including thosewho do not think of themselves as artists or writers, have turned to poetry and art to express their deep feelings. As part of the Arte Gras Festival in May 2002, Artesian will be holding an exhibition of work that has arisen and will arise outof the ashes of the World Trade Centre. How events will unfold between now and May 2002 is still unknowable, but in the exhibition we hope to reflect the process of individual unfoldment. In addition to 2D and 3D art, the exhibition will include improvised drama and poetry with Lee Gershuny, Founder and Artistic Director of The Elements' "Theatre of Being"; Playback Theatre; and other poetry etc performances at the exhibition venue.
