ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I started doodling in the early 1980s and I still love drawing very much. I work mostly in black ink, usually on a small scale; 3D sculpture, semi-abstract faces and repeating patterns: these are the basic elements of my vocabulary, which is growing and changing slowly all the time. My drawings start both as ideas in my head and through experimentation in pencil on the page.

I had a solo exhibition at Trongate Studios, Glasgow, in 1998 and have participated in two group shows in Edinburgh since then.
