ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Painting cannot be taught, it can only be found , Picasso

I am a Visionary Artist based in Leeds, where I work primarily as a painter. The inspiration for my work comes from dreams, myths, travels and intuition. My paintings are mainly figurative and my root influences are Hispanic and Celtic. I have travelled and studied widely in South America and Spain, where the intensity of the light and colour of my environment influenced me profoundly. I believe that paintings are like windows to the soul. Paint both expresses and illuminates.
